Where we are
For many of us, the former pioneer camp nearby the town of Hatvan, Hungary is an island of adventures. Through nearly HUF 1 billion since 2002 our base has evolved into a wonderland, which really provides a lifetime’s worth of adventures with its programmes. Accommodation, meals, sports and adventure programmes in Bátor Tábor’s summer and sibling camps that host 70 children per session, family camps that host 19 families, as well as our 70 volunteer “cimboras” who assist them helps us fulfil our motto: we are changing lives.
In the heart of the camp there are 7 cottages shaping a circle. Each cottage welcomes 14 guests with two, five-bed rooms, a four-bed room and a lounge. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom.
In the central building at Bátor Tábor, there is a dining hall that seats160 people and also includes training halls, offices and storage rooms. The restaurant is enclosed by glass walls on three sides, so the marvellous view is open to the lake and other areas of the camp.
In the restaurant there is a kitchen, which prepares food that suits the special diet needs of the children. Our kitchen can fulfil any needs.
In the friendly, fairy tale-like mini-hospital, which is surrounded by colourful flowers, every medicine and equipment is available. The medical building includes two exam rooms, four rest rooms, a medicine room, a store-room and a barrier-free bathroom.
In the vicinity of the children’s cottages stand 3 equal-size colourful buildings with 66 new beds. Each house has 7 rooms, each with an adjacent bathroom. The rooms on the first floor have 4 beds. The groundfloor rooms have 2 beds and are wheelchair-accessible.
In our Western-style horse-riding-hall our campers can get to know what the wild wild west looked like. Well-trained cimboras and two super benign horses accompany them on their expedition.
The course provides a variety of experiences for the greater community and individuals alike. The wire rope system, that was built on 15 posts (each
Our archery field takes place in the woods where our campers can learn the crafts of archery.
Two little houses stand by our private lake. This is where the campers become canoeing champions with a little help from their Cimboras.
The campsite of Bátor Tábor is surrounded by a beautiful wooden area where our MagicWoods program takes place.
